Optical Liquid Level Sensors for Standard Temperatures

They are used to monitor the level of liquids of different composition. Depending on the type, they are able to distinguish liquid from foam (beer, cola-type drinks), or detect oils or emulsions. They are suitable for use in the food and beverage industry. Another design modified for sensing acids and bases can be used in more demanding conditions, e.g. in the medical industry. The principle of use is to monitor the presence of liquid in containers or pipes, e.g. of its upper and lower levels – protection against overflow, protection against the pump running on empty, etc.
